Hey friends! I’m Jess, a queer author, writing about queer fantasy lives. (Fantasy > Reality. Duh.)
My upcoming novel, The Golden One, is about Aurelius, a non-binary demigod (*insert Auri’s eye roll at binary gendered terms*), searching for their missing father and uncovering a plot to destroy the world as they know it.

Storyline
1994
Born at the end of March to two parents who thought they were getting another calm child (they were wrong).
2001
I got in trouble in first grade for disrupting the class by pretending to be a news broadcaster.
2006
I wrote one of my very first stories in a red notebook about a girl who was actually the creator of the universe.
2010
I finished my very first novel about two teenage werewolves. (It was never edited and badly self-published-I’ll revisit someday)
2012
I graduated high school and went to American University for college. Good times.
2015
I graduated college and had absolutely no idea what to do with my life. (My love for writing got lost in my need to help people. So, naturally, law school.)
2019
I graduated from law school, passed the California bar, got a very good job that I thought I liked, and felt my creativity shrivel up to nothing.
Today
I’m a part-time attorney, full-time author, representing queer voices and the love for the fantastic in my stories. Life is good.
